Mean Girls 2: I wish this movie didn't exist

I mean you must be absolutely high on meth to even make this movie in the first place. I wholeheartedly despise this movie, and this isn't just my opinion alone in fact everyone else thinks the same way as well. This kind of reaction from the audience was expected because after we were given such an iconic movie, we were given this abomination 'Mean Girls 2'.  I don't even want to summarize this movie because I don't want to ruin anyone's day, all you need to know that this movie is the worst. From extremely unlikeable characters to unoriginal and cringey lines and bad plot, this movie is recipe for disaster.  This movie basically missed all the mark that the previous Mean Girls were able to hit. The first Mean Girls actually delved into the psychological warfare of how teen girls act like and then we have this movie that just makes you want to go outside and admire nature and life outside because of how bad this movie is, or you could instead end up beating som...

Touch: (Breaking the barriers of language)

Mnemosyne is the English department event that we had today on the 13th of March ,2025, and when I tell you guys that it was an eventful day it was for sure a very eventful day, it was hectic and tiring too to say the least but if there is one thing that made the entire day worth staying there then it was probably the play presented by our department called 'Touch' which was a skit on untouchability. "Once you overcome the one-inch-tall barrier of subtitles, you will be introduced to so many more amazing films," Bong eloquently stated as he accepted the award for Best Foreign Language Film. When Bong Joon Ho stated this in his speech, I honestly did not think much about it, but I think today is the day when I truly felt the impact of what Bong Joon Ho was trying to say. The play presented to us was fully in Tamil and I as you guys may or may not know I'm not Tamil neither can I understand an ounce of Tamil but today as I watched the play, I understood it completel...

Mean Girls: Understanding female friendships

Image
Mean Girls is such an iconic teen comedy movie that I think most girls of our generation must have already watched it. To the ones who haven't watched it, it is basically a movie that revolves around the life of Cady in high school and how she encounters three of the meanest girls in her new school. She becomes a part of their gang and plans a sabotage against them with Janice who is as mean as them to be honest, but she likes to think otherwise. The three mean girls Regina, Gretchen, and Karen include Cady in their group, and this is where the story starts to shift for all of them.  From brutal backstabbing to cat fights and bullying, everything takes place in the high school, and you could even compare it to a jungle where all the animals have their own system. Female friendships could either be the strongest bond of sisterhood that you will ever see, or it could either be a living nightmare for you, personally I count myself really blessed to have such wonderful people around me...

Talaash: A movie filled with suspense and mysteries

Image
'Talaash' is a movie directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Aamir Khan. Starring Kareena Kapoor, Aamir Khan and Rani Mukherjee Talaash is a thriller/horror Hindi movie. The opening scene starts off with a car swerving off the road and falling into the sea. The reason for this remains unknown and what caused the accident also seems to be a mystery meanwhile the driver or you could say the passenger inside. As the policemen investigates the next day all the eyewitnesses say that they saw the car swerving and felt something paranormal, going as far as to even tell the police that Pinky their dog also tried to warn them about it. Now, it is a known fact that animals have a sixth sense, they can sense dangers right away so in this case the dog sensed something unusual that the normal human eye cannot really see. After the car is taken out from the sea, it is revealed that the person inside called Armaan Kapoor a 'celebrity' died and he was apparently wearing the seatbelt as...

Summer Strike: A heartfelt love story between two introverts

Image
The bustling city life can get tiring, where everything is so fast paced life can get hectic in a city. There is very little room for peace. Yeo-Reum is the protagonist of the drama Summer Strike, which is a heartfelt love story that resonates with everyone. The story follows Yeo-Reum a twenty-eight year old woman who quits her job and moves to a village because her life kept going on a downward spiral in the city, I think what Yeo-Reum does here is important to understand because she does not just leave everything behind because she felt like it but rather it was to start fresh by understanding herself better and by finding her own individuality. She was always caught up with what to do and what not to do thus it came to the point that she didn't even know herself anymore thus her moving out of the city was not just an impulsive decision. As Yeo-Reum settles in the village she meets Daebom who is a local librarian, they are shown to have interest for each other from the first glan...

Good Bad Mother: The Role of a Mother

Image
'Mothers' are perhaps the most beautiful beings. Their sacrifices, their dedication, their love, care and consideration are the things that make a good mother. It's not easy being a mother well that's certain, women are blessed with ability to create, and I think that in itself is the most beautiful aspect of being a woman. 'The Good Bad Mother' is a melodramatic, heartwarming Korean show staring Ra Miran as Kangho's mother, Lee Do-Hyun as Kangho and Ahn Eun-Jin as Mijoo, the show follows the story of a mother (Kangho's) and a son (Kangho) whose relationship is sure to bring anyone in tears. The first few episodes of the show portray Kangho as an unjust prosecutor who only thinks about himself which is directly shown as a result of the years of torment that he went through as child due to his mother, not being able to hangout or even play with his friends because his mother always forced and pressured him to study hard until he becomes a prosecutor, in o...

The Summer I turned Pretty: Belly is the problem

Image
'The Summer I turned Pretty' more like the summer I turned into a mess. Take off your glasses and then boom you have your glow up, season one's plotline is so awfully obvious, Belly, our protagonist spends her vacation with Suzanna and her boys every summer, but this summer is different, and can you guess why is that so? Yep, that's right she has a glow up, so this summer is going to be different for her and also, she likes one of Suzanna's son Conrad, well she always liked him, but he acts like big jerk towards her in the first few episodes. Jeremiah on the other hand Conrad's brother, is a sweetheart towards Belly, always looking out for her, being there for her when she needs him the most, but can you guess what belly does? she breaks his heart by kissing Conrad and gives him false hope in the beginning. Yeah, Belly is the problem here and there is no defending her, and I admit that she is young and naive, so she made mistakes but like she's also really ...
